Admission - BPT
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program at JSS College of Physiotherapy is affiliated
with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, Bangalore.
Duration: The BPT course duration is four and a half years, including a
six-month internship.
Medium of Instruction: English
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate seeking admission to first year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program should have fulfilled the
following
- Educational Requirements:
- Candidates must have passed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by the
Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, or an equivalent examination
recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or the Association of Indian
Universities (AIU).
- The qualifying examination must include English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as
subjects.
- Merit-Based Selection:
- There is no entrance examination for BPT or MPT seats under the management quota. Admission
is based on eligibility and a face-to-face interview.
- Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the
qualifying examination. For SC, ST, or Category I candidates, the minimum required marks are
40%.
Age Requirement:
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age by December 31st of the year of admission.
Eligibility Certificate:
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from boards or universities other than
Karnataka Pre-University Board must obtain an eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University
of Health Sciences, Karnataka. The application must include the required documents and prescribed
